Nickel Wire

For production of nickel wire we use such nickel grade as NP1, NP2, nickel NP3, NP4 as well as nickel silicide. Chemical content of wire is according to GOST 492.

Nickel wire can be produced in some different types: hard ( hard-drawn) and soft (annealed). If the diameter of nickel wire is less than 0,09 mm, so the application of first type wire is allowed only. If the diameter is higher than 0,09 mm, both types can be made.

Wire marking is made according to GOST 2179-75 «Nickel wire and nickel silicide wire. Technical specification». So the designation �Nickel wire DKRNT-0.025-��-NP2� means as follows: cold-deformed wire, round, normal accuracy of manufacture, solid state, 0,025 mm dia. supplied on spools; for production nickel NP2 is used.

Nickel wire ��2 is a most popular wire grade. JSC Krasnokamsk Metal Mesh works offers nickel wire NP2 with finest diameters up to 0,025 mm consisting of Ni 99,8%.

The following demands are made to the nickel wire quality: the surface must be smooth, clean, it should not have any cracks, splitting etc. Mechanical properties of nickel wire depend on diameter and production method. Tensile strength is volatile between 420-830 MPa and relative elongation of soft wire varies within 18-26%.
